Wentworth Miller, an actor best known for his role in the television show Prison Break, is now using his fame to raise awareness for the need of increased funding in arts education. He has recently donated his personal scripts from the first season of Prison Break to P.S. Arts, a foundation that works to increase funding for the arts. Each script has been signed by Miller and includes handwritten notes by the actor.
Miller strongly believes that arts education is extremely important for our youth. Studies have shown that involvement in the arts helps kids increase test scores and promotes academic achievement. In fact, kids involved in the arts are three times more likely to be elected to class office and four times more likely to participate in a math and/or science fair.
