The burning question is… are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? If you are not familiar with this hot topic that has lead to many serious, heated debates, you must not get out much. The Twilight series of books and movies sparked a trend that can only be described as a nationwide obsession with vampires.
Since the blow up of Twilight, a plethora of vampire-inspired TV series, movies and books have been created. Included in the long list of bloodsucking hits is the CW’s The Vampire Diaries. The stars of the hit show, Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley, are using their popularity to urge fans to “starve a vampire” in their public service ad for givelife.org. The cause they are supporting in this catchy ad is blood donation.
There are many reasons that make blood donation worth your while; one of the most shocking being that every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood. The American Red Cross plays a huge role in getting blood to those in need.
