Keep a Child Alive, co-founded by Alicia Keys, is striving to make a difference in our world by reaching out to those affected by HIV/AIDS. With help from charitable persons, Keep a Child Alive “provides first class AIDS care and support, care for orphans, food with a healthy dose of love and respect to the mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters, husbands, wives, friends, neighbors and lovers affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India.” Thus far, 250,000 people have been served due to Keep a Child Alive efforts!
Their newest campaign,“Buy Life,” is making it easier than ever to donate. Celebrities including Usher, Katie Holmes, Justin Timberlake, Kim Kardashian and Ryan Seacrest are taking part by modeling the signature, scannable t-shirt. Want to join? You can simply download the app to your smart phone and scan the Buy Life barcode on your favorite celeb’s t-shirt online. Or you can purchase a fully scannable Buy Life t-shirt and invite people to scan you!
