Invisible Children is a documentary that was made by three young filmmakers who travelled to Uganda to tell the story of Africa’s longest running war. This film focuses on the children who have been abducted by the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) and are now forced to be child soldiers.
Since the film first released in 2004, this documentary has inspired several people to get involved in the grassroots movement. The nonprofit work done by Invisible Children seeks to improve the quality of life for individuals living in conflict and post-conflict regions in Uganda. The success of Invisible Children and the movement they have created, underscores the power media has on educating and inspiring individuals to work for change.
